  • User Profile: Your name, email address, and profile picture (provided by Google) to identify you within the app.
  • Financial Data: Expenses, income, and transaction details that you manually input into the application.
  • Group & Member Data: We collect the email addresses of your family or trip members to share the Kanithan group access with them. These email addresses are used strictly for group sharing purposes and will not be used, sold, or shared for any other activities.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely for:

  • Providing expense tracking and reporting services.
  • Syncing data across your devices via Google Firebase Database.
  • Facilitating shared expense management within your designated Family or Trip groups.

4. Data Security & Storage

We prioritize the security of your information:

  • Encryption: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology.
  • Access Control: Data is secured via Firebase Security Rules. Your financial records are only accessible to you (the owner) and the specific members you have explicitly added to your Family or Trip groups.
  • Google Infrastructure: We leverage Google’s world-class cloud infrastructure to ensure your data is stored safely and is highly available.

5. Data Sharing & Privacy

  • No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal financial data to third parties or marketing agencies.
  • Restricted Use of Member Emails: Email addresses provided for inviting family or trip members are used exclusively for app-internal collaboration and are never shared externally.
  • Group Visibility: When you join a Trip or Family group, your added expenses will be visible to other members of that specific group to enable features like the "Smart Split" and reporting.

6. User Rights

You have full control over your data:

  • Deletion: You can delete your transactions or groups at any time.
  • Export: You can view and track your reports within the app interface.
